If thinking is a fragmented ocean, then the expression is that these fragments are spelled into maps that can be transported by others.

When I was a kid, I was always attracted to those who made it very clear.
Like Alan Watts, Jordan Peterson, Daniel Schmachtenberger, or someone who can tell deep-seated thoughts. Most of the time, I don't understand what they're saying (either because I'm too young or because they're too complicated), but because they're smart and methodical, I'll listen and give them the respect they deserve.
I never thought I could do it.
I'm not the most organized person in the world, I'm not. It was just then that I felt like I wasn't having enough brains. I'm a smart kid in school, but a good test doesn't mean that I can tell people what's complicated. I thought that, in order to be like them, I would have to carry the whole book down to repeat it on the spot, because that was how I learned from childhood.
More than a decade has passed, however, and I have not deliberately practiced to express myself in a coherent manner, but have had to do so for reasons of work.
As a writer and a self-proclaimed little network celebrity, my job is to communicate ideas clearly and meaningfully to others. Over the past six years, millions of people have chosen to read my content on the screen.
Honestly, I'm kind of boring. I'm not an entertainer. I'm not particularly funny. My writing is not even revolutionary. I say this to motivate people like me.
Maybe you're a new creator, trying to get yourself out; maybe you're a founder, trying to attract more users to the software; maybe you're going to the podcast, not to stutter; maybe you want to be more present in company meetings or sales calls; or you're just trying to make yourself more interesting.
I cleaned it up.Three ways to make yourself more explicit., from entry to advanced, depending on the difficulty. These are the methods I use in writing or speaking.
But before that, one thing was more important:
Let's start with the most powerful gills in your heart.
If you want to speak in a structured way, you need to have 8-10 of your most important ideas that can be linked to almost anything. When you write or speak, there is a starting point that has already gone through hundreds of reflections.
I have recently been invited to a growing number of large podcasts.
But these are completely different from the small podcasts I started with.
The risks are high, and the production costs for these large podcasts are high at tens of thousands (or even more). Tension is for sure. Moreover, there may be hundreds of thousands of listeners, and I feel that I must provide as much value as possible.
I'm not the best guest yet.
When I look back on the tape, I'm always upset that I could say better.
It also reveals a problem.
I wrote two books, thousands of social posts, hundreds of newsletters and video scripts.
It is clear which ideas are most valuable and which trigger the most criticism or change in the lives of others. And it made me realize that my real core ideas are only 8-10, which represents my brand and value.
That's what people want to hear and how new listeners know me.
But my biggest psychological handicap is that I don't want to sound like I'm saying the same thing over and over again.
So every time I was on a podcast or asked to speak, I deliberately avoided what I had already said. As a result, my brain is blank, and I can barely say anything to avoid being embarrassed. I hope to come up with an amazing new perspective on the ground, but I know that it takes time to decipher and think.
That's the attraction of Jordan Peterson's peak period. He was able to make the complex points clear and attractive. Why? Because he's got a lot of ideas. If you want to express yourself clearly, you need to have a collection of works and ideas.
So, why do you like some musician?
Because he has a unique style. Most of the work is similar, fine-tuned. It'll be recognized in a few seconds. If an EDM artist suddenly changes to country music, the first song is usually bad and most fans don't like it.
It's the same thing to say.
Alex Hormozi
-
Core views(结论或建议)
-
