Sui launched Passkey Support: Brush Logging provides an important foundation for digging up the Web2 incremental user

Passkey is a new password authentication alternative, promoted by the FIDO Alliance and W3C. It allows log-in and signature by means of system-level system-level progener identification (e.g., Face ID, Touch ID or PIN). Passkey follows open standards and uses WebAuthn standards to achieve inter-equipment compatibility. It was previously widely supported by mainstream traditional Internet platforms such as Apple, Google, Microsoft and others in the inner cycle of their home ecology.

In August 2025, Sui Network launched Passkey ' s support on its main website and launched it on Nimora ' s wallet. Users can access Sui ' s ecological applications and sign transactions only by means of biometric (or password) from a computer or mobile phone. This change enabled the log-in process to provide a first-hand look at the wallets that visited Sui's ecology, as if it were a micro-letter or a shivering on any smartphone, in line with the operational habits of the Web2 manufacturer, which consumes dozens of loads of user-bred-in-the-boxes.

Sui's Passkey Landing Settlement directly addresses one of the most important challenges of the current Web3 identification system: the reticence of new players by the knowledge threshold of the block chain. As Chainlink once pointed out in his blog, in reality, users often spend a lot of time learning how to install new browser plugins, how to handle private keys and notes, and how to move wallets and learn to import private keys, all of which leads to very bad hands-on experience for new users.

In fact, Chainlink described this situation as unusual. The bottom-up idea of traditional Web3 wallet products, such as MetaMask, continues to be to educate users about how to use them rather than to adapt to them. In contrast, the Passkey, brought by Sui, completely conceals the technical details of these block chains, abstracting them from the product, and allowing the users of Web2 to follow the existing login habits, avoiding the pain of learning new concepts, and ultimately, how to use Sui's wallet as a micro-intellectual effect, a visible interaction that greatly releases the potential of the Web2 population to migrate to Web3 by lowering the use threshold.

The ecological integration of Passkey in Sui does not mean that it compromises security and portability. Unlike traditional passwords, Passkey ' s solution itself has a natural resistance to fishing attacks. At the same time, the Passkey account on Sui supports cloud synchronisation and avoids the troubles of password storage and re-entry, which in essence enhances security and ease of use and remains secure at all times. In addition, Passkey on Sui was able to be used in conjunction with identification methods such as zkLogin to further enhance security and resilience.

Looking ahead, Nimora and other off-site ecological applications using Passkey can help Sui to remove cognitive barriers from Web2 users, lay an important foundation for the construction of Web3 traffic portals, lead new users to import and interact with industry standards, and tell more about Sui's stories in Web3.
