Walrus

After the successful development of their multi-billion-dollar Layer 1 blockchain Sui, Mysten Labs has entered the decentralized storage game with Walrus. Currently available on testnet since October 2024, Walrus aims to leverage Sui’s blazing fast TPS and low fees to make data storage great again. Additionally, since Walrus is incubated by Mysten Labs itself, it has the financial and technical resources required for a project this size to truly succeed. With most of the blockchain data storage business going to only a few protocols, this is one to watch.
